COURSE DESCRIPTION

Isolation, Lock Out & Tag Out (LOTO) Procedures

This course provides essential training on isolation procedures and lock out/tag out systems to ensure equipment is safely de-energised before maintenance or repair work is carried out.

    • Certification: CertCom

    • Refresher: Every 2–3 years

    • Assessment: Written and/or practical

    • Location: Northern Ireland

    • Maintenance and engineering personnel

    • Machine operators

    • Supervisors and managers

    • Anyone involved in equipment isolation

    • Types of hazardous energy sources

    • Principles of isolation and LOTO systems

    • Safe shutdown and restart procedures

    • Roles and responsibilities

    • Preventing accidental re-energisation

    • Minimum age 16

    • No prior qualifications required

  • Learners complete an assessment to demonstrate understanding. Certification is issued upon successful completion.
